|Calculated MW||40982 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Wnt-1. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Proto-oncogene Wnt-1, Proto-oncogene Int-1 homolog, WNT1, INT1|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 1% BSA, 50% glycerol, and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Wnt-1 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. In some developmental processes, is also a ligand for the coreceptor RYK, thus triggering Wnt signaling. Probable developmental protein. May be a signaling molecule important in CNS development. Is likely to signal over only few cell diameters. Has a role in osteoblast function and bone development.|
|Cellular Location||Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix|
