|Calculated MW||14105 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Histone H2A. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Histone H2A type 1-C, Histone H2A/l, HIST1H2AC, H2AFL|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 0.1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Histone H2A Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus. Chromosome.|
