|Calculated MW||38160 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Math1. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Protein atonal homolog 1, Class A basic helix-loop-helix protein 14, bHLHa14, Helix-loop-helix protein hATH-1, hATH1, ATOH1, ATH1, BHLHA14|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Math1 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Transcriptional regulator. Activates E box-dependent transcription in collaboration with TCF3/E47, but the activity is completely antagonized by the negative regulator of neurogenesis HES1. Plays a role in the differentiation of subsets of neural cells by activating E box-dependent transcription (By similarity).|
