|Calculated MW||73498 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of SGLT-1. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Sodium/glucose cotransporter 1, Na(+)/glucose cotransporter 1, High affinity sodium-glucose cotransporter, Solute carrier family 5 member 1, SLC5A1, NAGT, SGLT1|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) SGLT-1 peptide in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||SGLT-1 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Actively transports glucose into cells by Na(+) cotransport with a Na(+) to glucose coupling ratio of 2:1. Efficient substrate transport in mammalian kidney is provided by the concerted action of a low affinity high capacity and a high affinity low capacity Na(+)/glucose cotransporter arranged in series along kidney proximal tubules.|
|Cellular Location||Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.|
|Tissue Location||Expressed mainly in intestine and kidney.|
