|Calculated MW||1101.28 Da|
|Other Names||Bradykinin-potentiating peptide 10b, BPP-10b, Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor V-6-II, Bradykinin-potentiating peptide V-6-II, Bradykinin-potentiating peptide 10b-F, BPP-10b-F, BPPAB|
|Format||Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||This peptide both inhibits the activity of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and enhances the action of bradykinin by inhibiting the peptidases that inactivate it. It acts as an indirect hypotensive agent. Bradykinin-potentiating peptide 10b-F has much lower activity than the full-length peptide.|
|Tissue Location||Expressed by the venom gland.|
